House Globe is a 2D real-time strategy video game set in space.[1] It was developed by Oxeye Game Studio in August 2008 for a Bootleg Demake competition, featuring as a demake of Relic Entertainment's Homeworld.[1][2]
The team wanted to create a version of the game that was similar to games from the 1990s, citing Dune II as an example. To achieve this, they changed the perspective from 3D to 2D but otherwise kept core gameplay elements.[1][2]
They managed to develop the game in just 10 days.[1][2]
